Ceradyne Thermo Materials Division Thermo-Sil® products are utililized throughout the aerospace and defense industries for the forming of titanium sheet alloys and advanced composites.

Thermo-Sil Castable 220 is used to fabricate a variety of tooling utilized in the creep and superplastic forming of titanium and aluminum sheet alloys. Forming tools with surface areas of up to 150ft² (14m²) are currently being used in production. Typical components fabricated on Thermo Materials' castable tooling include INVAR® tooling, aircraft panels, turbine blades, engine shrouds and ducts.
